Unfortunately, 5 to 10 cm falling in a single day is the norm. You can expect wind and wind chills to be a factor for many months and this does make moving a pain. We do try our very best to keep the doors closed when moving in and out but sometimes it’s just faster and easier for them to remain open during small periods. As a general rule, we would expect at move to take longer in the winter compared to the summer.
It’s very important to be very cautious when handling items as the cold weather easily adds to broken or damaged items. We use extra sheets to protect furniture pieces or fragile items during these winter months. Obviously, we recommend moving electronics or pets in your personal vehicle so you can control the temperature during the move.
